The Herschel Programme for women in Technical Leadership Launches

Pioneering Leadership Programme Launches To Tackle Workforce Imbalance

 Are you a current or aspiring woman technician who is keen to develop your leadership skills? 

 The Research-England funded TALENT programme has created the UK’s first leadership programme designed for people in technical roles who identify as women. The Herschel Programme for Women in Technical Leadership is a national six-month programme which includes modules on self-awareness, leading in a technical environment, negotiation skills and navigating the organisation. It also offers unique opportunities for networking. The course is completely free.

WMG Apprenticeship Success

WMG are delighted that four more of our apprentices, here at the University of Warwick, have successfully completed their four-year educational and vocational study programmes and have now secured technical posts, working as Mechanical Technicians working within the group. They will now support various areas of research and teaching that are conducted at WMG - Battery Production, Investigation, Testing and Characterisation, Advanced five axis machining, Additive Layer Manufacture, Testing and Joining of composite materials,

Registrations Open For Technician Summit

Higher Education Technician Summit (HETS), which celebrates the success and achievements of technicians in higher education and research, returns in November 2021.

Location: East Midlands Conference Centre at the University of Nottingham
