Chair of Warwick Commission, the Hon Pierre Pettigrew says the commission report into the future of world trade is set to have an even bigger impact after the completion of the Doha round of negotiations of the World Trade Organisation.

The European Union Committee have called upon members of the Warwick Commission to give evidence as part of an inquiry into European Trade Policy.

Following the publication of the Warwick Commission's report on the future of the multilateral trading system Warwick iCast hosted a debate at Chatham House on the reccommendations. Taking part were Commissioners Professor Simon Evenett, University of St Gallen, and Dr Amrita Narlikar, University of Cambridge. They were joined by Guy de Jonquières, Senior Research Fellow at Chatham House, and Sheila Page, Senior Research Associate at the Overseas Development Institute.

The Warwick Commission are gathering in Singapore for a special session with Lee Yi Shyan, Singapore’s Minister of State for Trade and Industry. The event will see the Commission present its analysis on the future of the multilateral trade system after the Doha Round and discuss the implications of its report with key Singaporean policy makers and researchers. The workshop in Singapore is one of a series planned in key cities around the world as part of the Warwick Commission’s efforts to generate discussion about this global issue.
