Methods of payment

If you have recently made a payment, you will receive an email confirmation within 48 hours of receipt of payment. If you have not received this confirmation within 10 working days, please email studentfinance at warwick dot ac dot uk.

Please note the University is not able to accept payment remitted from Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria or Crimea.

Bank Transfer

*The sort codes for the University of Warwick and its subsidiary companies have changed due to the reforms introduced by the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013. Please update your records and use 20-23-71 for all future payments. The account number remains unchanged.

Please quote your University ID number and student name on any transfer you make to the University’s bank account.

Please note: Bank Transfer transactions can take up to ten working days to arrive and as such you should always commence the transaction before your payment due date. Any bank charges incurred at the time of the transfer will be passed on to you. The University neither makes charges nor accepts bank charges for such transactions.

If you are a current student, you can print your own invoice/ receipt by logging in to the Student Finance pages of the Student Records system. If you require an official stamp, please visit the Student Reception in Senate House.

Direct Debit

A direct debit can be set up with the University to:

  • Pay Accommodation fees on a termly basis.
  • Pay tuition fees by the standard University instalment schedule throughout the academic year.
  • If you opt to pay both tuition and accommodation fees by direct debit, one amount for both payments will be taken from your account. Full details of the Direct Debit process can be found on the Paying By Direct Debit page.

Please note: Direct Debit payment due dates are later than the due dates for all other methods of payment because we are legally obliged to give notice that payments will be deducted from bank accounts.

By Cheque/Bankers Draft

Cheque/Bankers draft should be made payable to ‘University of Warwick’ and you should clearly write on the back: your name, University ID number, and what your payment is for, i.e. Tuition Fees. The cheque/bankers draft can be either sent by post to us or paid in person.

  • send by post to: Student Finance, Academic Office, Senate House, University of Warwick, Coventry, CV4 7AL.
  • pay it in person at: Student Reception, Ground Floor Senate House (Grid Reference D5: Building Number 57 on the Campus Map). Reception opening times can be found on the Contact us page.

Please note: the University does not accept Eurocheques.

By Credit/Debit Card

Payments by Credit/Debit card can be made in the following three ways:

Online via the Student Records System: You must have enrolled with the University and have setup an IT Services account to be able to pay your fees online. Please select the Student Finance tab where you can view your account online and select the link to pay. To make an Advance Payment, where your fees have not yet been levied on your account, you should select the Advance Payment tab. Automated Telephone Payment Line: please phone 0330 088 3627 (or +44 330 088 3627 from outside the UK), and you will need to quote your University ID number, your date of birth, and how much you are paying. Please note we are unable to accept American Express.

In Person: at Student Reception, Ground Floor Senate House (see the Campus Map). Reception opening times can be found on the Contact us page.

Cash

The University does not accept cash payments for tuition or accommodation fees.

If you wish to pay by cash you will need to go to a branch of Barclays bank and pay over their counter quoting the bank details listed above in the bank transfer section. We would also strongly advise you to email studentfinance at warwick dot ac dot uk to let us know that you have paid in this manner, detailing the exact amount of your payment and the branch address that the transaction was completed at. You will also be required to provide us with the bank issued receipt for the cash payment and this should be brought in to Student Reception at Senate House.
