Geographically, the University is located across two counties, the West Midlands and Warwickshire. Consequently, Campus is covered by two police services. Their primary role is to offer crime prevention advice and to provide a reassuring, visible presence for the whole campus community.
You can find more information about each service on their webpages found here:
They also assist the Community Safety Department and many other departments with incidents involving members of the University, both on and off campus.
If you need to speak to the police, while on campus and it is not an emergency, please call 101. In an emergency, call 024 7652 2222.
If you are away from campus and are in need of emergency assistance please call 999 and ask for the required service.
The Community Safety team is also supported by the local Ambulance and Fire services in the area. We work closely with both to ensure that emergencies are handled swiftly on campus, including escorting paramedics to first aid incidents and assisting the fire service with building evacuation. Similarly to the police, our geographical location means that we work both the West Midlands and Warwickshire fire services. More information can be found on their webpages at the links below.
