Sustainable Development Goals
How we support UN Sustainable Development Goals
We support the United Nations sustainability goals
1. No poverty
Our team members are paid the real living wage.
2. Zero hunger
Our staff working unsociable hours are provided with meals on duty. Where we can and food safety rules permit we will provide excess food that we cannot use to a food bank.
3. Good Health and Well-being
Our menus are planned to be balanced, we offer a range of activities as well as outdoor space and quiet spaces.
4. Quality education
As part of the University of Warwick, our surplus is reinvested back into teaching, learning and research. What we do ultimately helps students get a better education.
5. Gender Equality
The university offers an inclusive environment and all of our team are trained as such.
6. Clean water and sanitation
7. Affordable and clean energy
All of our energy is sourced from sustainable sources.
5. Decent work and economic growth
Our working conditions and above living wage, supporting local businesses through supply chain.
9. Industry, innovation and infrastructure
10. Reduced inequalities
We offer equal opportunities.
11. Sustainable cities and communities
Our sustainability roadmap highlights our plan to aid this.
12. Responsible consumption and production
Our policies and practices promote responsible resource use, ethical sourcing and waste reduction.
13. Climate action
We are energy efficient, minimise waste, encourage public transport. Offer sustainable catering and carbon ratings on menus. We have green accreditations and have launched a carbon calculator.
14. Life below water
We procure MSC-certified sustainable fish.
15. Life on land
The University that we are part of is heavily involved in biodiversity work.
16. Peace, justice and strong institutions
17. Partnerships for the goals
