Warwick Conferences in the community: serving meals with The Salvation Army
This past Christmas, Warwick Conferences returned for a second year to assist The Salvation Army and provided 80 festive meals.
In December, the Conferences team served the community by cooking and serving meals to vulnerable men, women, and couples at The Salvation Army’s Harnall Lifehouse location in Coventry. The staff team provided 80 two-course traditional Christmas meals, including tasty stuffing-topped turkey casserole or vegetable and lentil casserole, accompanied by new potatoes, root vegetables and sprouts, and bread and butter. To top it off, people could pick from hot and cold desserts, with delicious Christmas pudding with custard as a main feature.
Christmas is a time of sharing and celebration, and Warwick Conferences are glad to take action creating a positive impact on the community by providing meaningful support to local charities. We are grateful to all Warwick Conferences team members whose volunteering helped make this Christmas meal.
The Salvation Army is a charity that supports the community and transforms lives by offering a safe place for individuals, to help empower them and to promote independence. The Harnall Lifehouse branchLink opens in a new window, located in central Coventry, offers a diverse facility whose support has uplifted many individuals in the area.
Warwick Conferences is delighted to work hand-in-hand with local organisations that improve the lives and futures of people across Coventry, Warwickshire and the surrounding areas.
