Method
- Peel the pears.
- Using a melon baller or rounded spoon, remove stalk.
- Add the apple and orange juice into the saucepan along with the cinnamon stick and cloves.
- Cover with lid and simmer gently for about 20 mins until tender, then a use skewer or fork to remove the pan from the pan.
- Once the pan has cooled remove the cinnamon stick and cloves from the pan and reduce the remaining juice until thickened to a syrupy consistency ( this takes around 10 mins).
- Cut a small slice across the base of each pear so they stand up straight and place in serving dish/plate.
- Garnish with the syrup.

- Dried small dark fruit of your choice
- Black sesame seeds (can use other seeds)
Directions:
- Melt white chocolate and dip pears to form a full ghost effect
- Decorate using dried fruit for example halved raisins or dried blueberries for eyes, you may need to make a small hole in the pear, then you can use sesame seeds for mouth.
