Reasonable Adjustments in Labs

Department: School of Life Sciences

Summary: Whilst many see reasonable adjustments as solely related to assessment, this is only one aspect of their implementation. This project looked at reasonable adjustment provisions in practical lab settings, and means by which disabled students could be better supported.

Personal Tutoring Review

Summary: Commencing in the 2024-25 academic year, the Dean of Students Office led a review into the shape of the current Personal Tutoring system, discussing alternative models and whether different practices should be considered.

Mitigating Circumstances Review

Summary: A review is currently underway of the principles and processes surrounding mitigating circumstances, including extensions, self-certifications, deferrals and other associated policies.

Disabled Student Champions Network

Department: Dean of Students Office

Summary: Disabled Student Champions are staff in academic departments who, as named contacts for disabled students, are helping to build inclusive learning environments, improving communication between departments and central services, and ensuring students' needs are met consistently across the University.

Considerate Marking Adjustments
