The Education Group

The Education Group is responsible for a critical set of University departments and services which support the whole student journey:

Academic Registrar's Office

The Academic Registrar's Office is headed by the Academic Registrar, Adam Child. Its principal function is to coordinate all aspects of student administration and support and academic resource allocation.

The Academic Registrar's Office is part of the University's Education Group, which has departments based in University House, in Senate House and the Junction. There is a student reception located in Senate House.

Admissions Service

The Admissions Services are responsible for the management and process development for undergraduate, postgraduate Taught and postgraduate Research applications. As well as providing guidance to prospective students, the team also work with academic departments, national agencies and the government to ensure that each application is give due consideration within a fair and transparent admissions process.

Dean of Students' Office

The Dean of Students Office plays an important role in the student learning experience at Warwick. We are a dynamic team, comprising of academic and professional services staff and students working in close partnership. We have strategic leadership of academic support, through the personal tutoring system and the institution’s Inclusive Education approach.

Doctoral College

From scholarships and researcher development to networking events and guidance on supervision and thesis submission, the Doctoral College aims to support PhD students throughout their time at Warwick.

Education Policy and Quality

Our team works with staff and students across the University to:

  • Develop and advise on education policy

  • Uphold education quality and manage relationships with partner institutions

  • Coordinate the implementation of the Education and Student Experience Strategy

Flexible & Online Learning Division

The Flexible and Online Learning Division (FOLD) brings together cross institutional experience in the design, development and delivery of flexible learning opportunities. The two teams at the core of FOLD, Digital Learning and Work-based & Professional Learning, have a breadth of experience which is currently focused on embedding university education in work based settings through apprenticeships, and the use of digital learning platforms, and practises to develop, enhance and innovate across Warwick’s educational portfolio.

Strategic Planning Team

The Strategic Planning Team manages the University's strategic planning and resourcing processes and assists departments to forward plan using key data to inform strategy.

Student Administrative Services

We deliver services and support to students at all levels of study from the point of enrolment to graduation. This includes managing central student records, centrally scheduled examinations, oversight of module registration, and production of award certificates, official transcripts, as well as the Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR). We work closely with academic departments and other professional service teams to support and enable students to succeed in their studies at Warwick.

Student Complaints & Academic Casework Team

We recognise that there may be occasions where expectations are not met and on these occasions we encourage you to provide feedback. You may also submit a complaint about a service if the level of service falls significantly short of what you might reasonably expect. There are different routes for submitting feedback or making a complaint depending on whether you are a student, a member of staff or a member of the wider community - further information is available on our website.

Student Experience

Our work supporting students spans the institution:

  • We are focused on students’ wider experience of University, beyond their teaching and learning
  • We launch new students' time at Warwick with a centralised Welcome programme of information, social activities and support
  • We provide international students with vital visa advice and support, and ensure Warwick is compliant with UK immigration rules
  • We work with students to improve their experience of Warwick’s services and opportunities
  • We pioneer new ways to build student community

Our work spans many geographical reaches, supporting young people and their parents/carers to make informed decisions on a local, regional and national level.
