Are you interested in applying for promotion but unsure where to begin? Are you supporting or mentoring a colleague who wishes to apply for promotion? Would you like to find out more about the promotion process at Warwick?

The Provost will be hosting a briefing session on Academic promotions at Warwick. Speakers will include representatives from:

• Academic Staff Committee.
• Vice-Chancellor’s Advisory Group for Professorial promotions.
• Human Resources.
• Learning and Development Centre.

Programme for the day:

1. 10am Welcome and introductions (Provost).
2. 10.15am The process for applying for promotion at Warwick (Louise Kindon).
3. 10.30am Teaching promotions (Professor Simon Gilson and Dr Letizia Garmaglia).
4. 10.45am Research promotions (Professor Janet Dunn).
5. 11am Promotions to Associate Professor and Reader level (Professor Matt Keeling).
6. 11.15am Promotions to Professorial level (Professor Graeme Currie).
7. 11.30am Informal Q&A.
8. 11.45am Refreshments and informal discussion.
