Learning & Development Framework

Background

The Talent and Development (T&D) Team’s Learning & Development Dynamic Framework of Training Service Providers

Established on 1st March 2026, this Framework offers a range of experienced and approved Training Service Providers, centrally managed by the T&D Team.

This service includes design, development and facilitation Warwick staff learning solutions across a range of topics, cohort sizes and event types to meet your learning objectives. Service Providers can tailored their approach to your specific requirements, as well as offer 'off the shelf' options. You can request delivery in-person, on campus or virtually via Teams. Training, Courses or Workshops can be commission to run as a discrete one-off's, a programme or course, spanning 1 hour, 4 hours (half day), 8 hours (1 day) or multiple days, pending on the training need and budget available. We recommend at least 4 weeks notice on a new commission to allow ample preparation time.

This agreement is split into five lots based on the services required. All suppliers in a lot should be approached for the opportunity to quote. Suppliers are not ranked within lots.

Lot 1 – Personal and Professional Skills

Training that requires a subject centric approach for individuals, considered a personal or professional development of skill for all levels of staff.

These providers could offer a research informed solutions, covering such topics as; Building Confidence, Career Development, Communicating Effectively, Decision Making, Emotional Intelligence, Influencing and Negotiation, Presentation Skills and Project Management.

Six suppliers have been appointed to Lot 1 as follows:

Lot 2 – Leadership and Management Development

Training that requires a subject centric approach for leaders and managers at varying levels.

These providers could offer a research informed solutions, covering such topics as; Creating a Vision, Developing a Team Purpose, Developing Individuals, Difficult Conversations, Emotional Intelligence, Leading Change, Performance Management, Risk Management.

Six suppliers have been appointed to Lot 2 as follows:

Lot 3 – Researcher Development

Training for those individuals requiring Researcher Development, across career stages and disciplines. Provision will adapt to changes in research culture, policy frameworks, and career development expectations.

These providers could offer a research informed solutions, covering such topics as; Research leadership and management, Research integrity, ethics, and governance, Interdisciplinary collaboration and team working, Creative and critical thinking for research, Career planning and progression (including academic and non-academic pathways), Communication, dissemination, and engagement skills, Resilience, adaptability, and wellbeing in research careers.

Lot 4 – Psychometrics/Personality and Profiling Diagnostics

If a department requires this type of training, please contact the T&D Team who can offer guidance on the appropriate route and approach.

Lot 5 – Team Development

Training that requires a subject centric approach for individuals, considered a personal or professional development of skill for all levels of staff. This may be outed in local learning need analysis, appraisal outcomes, changing business needs, for example.

These providers could offer a research informed solutions, covering such topics as; Team Cohesion - Building Trust, Developing Relationships, Fast Tracking to Effective Performance, Building a New Team, Building High Performing Teams, Strategy Development and Operationalisation.
