At its meeting on 10 July 2013, the Council confirmed revisions to Regulation 8.10 following the introduction of a refreshed curriculum. These revisions apply to students registered for their first year in the academic year 2013/14 onwards, and it should be noted that the previous version of the Regulation remains applicable to students registered for their first year prior to the academic year 2013/14.

At its meeting on 10 July 2013 the Council conformed revisions to Regulation 4.10  to reflect practice in relation to the constitution and application of the appeals process; specifically, revisions address the issue of the timeframes for appeal, formalise the composition of the Appeals Committee and clarify the process to be followed by the Appeals Committee.

Regulation 23 that governs Disciplinary Regulations was fully revised and renamed 'Student Disciplinary Offences' on 12/09/2013.

Regulation 23 was approved by the Senate at its meeting held on 3 July 2013 and by the Steering Committee on behalf of the Senate at its meeting held on 22 July 2013.

Regulation 23 was confirmed by the Pro-Chancellor and Chair of the Council on behalf of the Council on 12 September 2013.

At its meeting on 10 July 2013, the Council approved the proposed amendments to University Regulation 2 governing Committee Elections.

At its meeting on 10 July 2013, the Council approved the proposed amendments to University Ordinance 5 on the Appointment of Members of the Council Appointed by the Senate, as noted by the Senate, be approved for the first time.

At its meeting on 10 July 2013, the Council approved the proposed amendments to University Ordinance 7 on Constitution of the Boards of the Faculties as noted by the Senate, be approved for the first time.

At its meeting on 10 July 2013, the Council approved the proposed amendments to University Ordinance 7 on Constitution of the Boards of the Faculties as approved by the Senate, be approved for the second time.

At its meeting on 10 July 2013, the Council approved the proposed amendments to University Ordinance 14 on Honorary Degrees as approved by the Senate, be approved for the second time.
