You will need to open a bank account after you arrive as UK legislation does not allow you to open a bank account before you arrive in the UK.

In order to open a UK bank account you will need:

• Your passport
• Evidence of your address overseas (e.g. your overseas driving licence)
• Evidence of your UK address (e.g. your tenancy agreement)
• Proof of employment (e.g. your employment contract)

Nationals from any country outside the UK may need to produce a passport and an introductory letter from the Payroll department of the University. If you require such a letter please email payroll at warwick dot ac dot uk.
