IDG to stock standard laptops

Working together, IDG and Procurement team colleagues have successfully completed a strategic bulk purchase of laptops. The deal is expected to deliver at least £200 savings per device, including a five-year warranty and double the typical internal storage capacity. We have achieved significant cost savings for the university through a coordinated approach jointly supported by Procurement, the Finance Office and IDG.

Please note that the newest M5 MacBooks do NOT come with a charger. Please retain your old one if retiring old laptops should you need a charger.

These are our recommendations for computers for use at Warwick.

The standard devices are devices that should suit most workloads at the university. The other recommendations are for specific workloads.

PhD students are recommended to look at the PhD options.

If you require something that is not listed below or a desktop/All In One, please contact IDG Service Desk so we can assist in ensuring you purchase a suitable device.

All devices listed here come with a 5 year warranty and will be enrolled in Warwick's systems.

Please note, we only support Dell, HP and Apple devices as detailed in these pages. Devices from other vendors are not supported.
