SiteBuilder 2.523 released

We released SiteBuilder 2.523 on Monday 7th November 2022. In this version, we:

  • Fixed a bug that produced an error when users attempted to create pages using custom templates.
  • Solved an issue that prevented the generation of content reports in some cases.
  • Added the Find a webgroup option to the Edit permissions screen for web pages. Select this option to open a pop-up which enables you to select from a list of webgroups you're a member of, or that exist within your department.
  • Removed the All viewing option from top-level forum pages, as this could cause loading issues on forums with large numbers of topics. You can still view all posts within individual topics.
  • Changed the workflow for converting old visual editor pages to the Components Editor. When you convert a page, you must now complete the process via the preview screen. In the Components Editor, select the Preview & confirm button and then on the preview screen select the Confirm conversion & publish button. This is because it's often clearer on the preview screen when a page is ready for you to finalise the conversion.
  • Made the following changes and improvements to the Components Editor:
    • Fixed a bug that caused images to display without the correct margins while editing pages.
    • Added options to make Block components full-width and/or flush with the top of a page.
    • Added support for embedding private Vimeo videos in the Media > Audio/video component.

Tabula 2022.11.1 released

We released Tabula 2022.11.1 on Wednesday 2nd November 2022. In this version, we:

  • Changed the process for the deferral of exams via a student's mitigating circumstances submission. Previously, resits for the affected exams were automatically generated, where possible. This led to issues if, for example, the Senior Tutor had selected the wrong exam period when recommending the deferral, or the department subsequently closed the generated resit records in error, meaning students were missing from exam schedules. Now, the affected component marks are changed to 0 and component grades are updated to indicate that a further first attempt (S) or resit (R) is required, but no resits are automatically generated. The corresponding module marks and grades are also reset. Once the department has processed the marks for any affected modules, they can then generate the necessary resits in Marks management.
  • Updated the release date for postgraduate taught (PGT) students to Wednesday 30th November 2022. These students will be able to see their agreed mark, grade and result in their Tabula profile from this date.

Tabula 2022.10.4 released

We released Tabula 2022.10.4 on Wednesday 19th October 2022. In this version we:

  • Fixed a bug that caused Marker notifications to display an incorrect number of students with active extensions.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented members of some staff groups from appearing in search results, for example when specifying a student's supervisor.
  • Improved data validation so that Tabula only imports a student's current supervisor from SITS.
