Release notes for web applications

SiteBuilder 2.485 released

We released SiteBuilder 2.485 on Monday 8th November 2021. In this version we made bug fixes and improvements to the Components Editor:

  • We added new options to the menu displayed when you select Add layout blocks.
  • We added a component for displaying personalised content to, for example, members of a specific webgroup.

We'll add more functionality in future releases, and publish release notes outlining this functionality. We'll also continue to make tweaks and improvements during this beta phase.

SiteBuilder 2.484 released

We released SiteBuilder 2.484 on Monday 1st November 2021. In this version we made bug fixes and improvements to the Components Editor:

  • We added more options to help users customise what's displayed in a news feed component.
  • We fixed a bug so it's now possible to add more researchers when editing a researcher profile component.

We'll add more functionality in future releases, and publish release notes outlining this functionality. We'll also continue to make tweaks and improvements during this beta phase.

Tabula 2021.10.3 released

We released Tabula 2021.10.3 on Thursday 28th October 2021. In this version we made some improvements to the Monitoring Points component to reflect the latest UKVI policy requirements:

  • You can now filter on students with Tier 4 visa requirements when you add students to monitoring schemes. This enables you to tailor schemes for Student Visa Sponsored Students. To do this, select the Other dropdown list and select Tier 4 only, then select Find.
  • For each Teaching event monitoring point, you can now specify the accepted attendance mode(s): In person or Remote.

SiteBuilder 2.483 released

We released SiteBuilder 2.483 on Monday 25th October 2021. In this version we made bug fixes and improvements to the Components Editor.

  • The following components are now available for you to add via the left-hand menu when editing your page:
    • Filtered news
    • Filtered calendar
    • Buttons
  • We added a breadcrumb trail to make it easier to edit components nested inside other components.
  • We fixed a bug which prevented users from inserting a researcher profile component.
  • We added a warning message for users editing in an outdated browser, such as Internet Explorer 11. For more information please see our list of supported browsers.

We'll add more functionality in future releases, and publish release notes outlining this functionality. We'll also continue to make tweaks and improvements during this beta phase.

SiteBuilder 2.482 released

We released SiteBuilder 2.482 on Friday 1st October 2021. In this version we made bug fixes and improvements to the Components Editor.

  • This release includes adding the following page templates to the Components Editor. You can select these templates on the Create new page screen, once you've selected Components Editor in the Change page template section, or by editing the page properties of an existing Components Editor page:
    • News
    • Calendar
    • Form
    • Bookings
    • Data reveal
    • Forum
    • Glossary
    • Quiz
    • Form dataset
    • Podcast

    You can then edit the surrounding content of these pages via the Components Editor, rather than the old visual editor.

  • The following components are now available for you to add via the left-hand menu when editing your page:
    • tabbed content - for presenting content on a sequence of horizontal or vertical tabs
    • data entries - for displaying entries from a data list page
  • It's now possible to insert a thumbnail image and enable viewing the full-size image in a lightbox.
  • You can indicate sections of your page content which use non-English languages.
  • We added an HTML viewer for an easy way to see the HTML of your page.
  • We added support for attaching external files for users who want to use custom scripts or styles (e.g. .css and .js).
  • We also fixed a bug which caused some requests to the Atom API to return an error.
