Tabula release notes
Tabula 2018.11.1 released
We released Tabula 2018.11.1 on Thursday 1 November 2018. In this version:
- when a small group teaching allocation changes, links in the student's and tutor's activity stream now point correctly to ‘Events’ in their respective profiles
- the buttons to record attendance at small group teaching events are now labelled appropriately for screen readers
Tabula 2018.10.4 released
We released Tabula 2018.10.4 on Friday 26 October 2018.
In some instances dependent on the departmental settings for student relationships, the report of students without a Personal Tutor did not match the unallocated students on the allocate Personal Tutors screen. We've fixed this bug so that the number of students is consistent on both screens.
Tabula 2018.10.3 released
We released Tabula 2018.10.3 on Thursday 18 October 2018.
Email notifications to markers now give a more detailed breakdown of the students allocated to them, particularly for first, second and final markers in marking workflows with multiple stages. For example:
- 14 students are allocated to you for marking
- First marker: 8 students
- Second marker: 6 students
- Final marker: 8 students
- 8 students allocated to you have been released for marking
- 7 students have submitted work
- 1 student has not submitted work
When an email notification is sent to multiple recipients – for example, a tutor emails a group of tutees – addresses are now in the BCC field instead of the To field.
Alumni can continue to sign in to Tabula and view their student profile for up to 14 months after their course end date.
Wherever a student's name appears in Tabula, we now display the student's preferred name only. We no longer show official names.
Also, in the Tabula API, we have deprecated the officialName and fullFirstName properties of the Member object. The API now returns:
fullNameforofficialNamefirstNameforfullFirstName
Tabula 2018.10.2 released
We released Tabula 2018.10.2 on Thursday 11 October 2018. In this version, we have further reduced the time it takes to load assignments when you expand a module on the assignments home page. We're continuing to investigate how to improve the speed of this page.
Tabula 2018.10.1 released
We released Tabula 2018.10.1 on Thursday 4 October 2018.
Depending on the number of assignments, there's a delay between expanding a module on the assignments home page and being able to view all assignments for that module. We've reduced the time it takes to show the assignment title links. These links appear before the rest of the assignment information loads so that you can navigate to assignments quicker. For future releases, we're investigating how we can further reduce the loading time of the assignments home page and an assignment's summary page.
It's now possible to delete a small group teaching set that has the self-signup allocation method, as long as the allocation is not also published to tutors.
Also, in line with legislation to remove or minimise disadvantages faced by staff and students due to a protected characteristic, we've removed gender information from profiles.
