Tabula release notes

We released Tabula 2020.7.3 on Thursday 2^nd July 2020. In this version:

• We fixed a bug that prevented the recording of the component mark for a resit when the grade for the first attempt was invalid. Grades for first attempts are now ignored.

We released Tabula 2020.7.2 on Wednesday 1^st July 2020. In this version, we made the following changes to exam grids:

• In the grid options, under the Marking section, we added the option 'Uploaded year marks if available'. Where a year mark has not been uploaded, Tabula will calculate it from component and module marks.
• If the 'Suggested Final Year Grade' is 'Fail' but a pass mark was achieved, you can now hover over the grade for an explanation. For example, this could be that insufficient CATS were passed, or a required module was failed.

We released Tabula 2020.7.1 on Wednesday 1^st July 2020. In this version:

• We completed some preparatory work to enable departments to process module marks so they become 'agreed'.
• We fixed a bug that prevented the calculation of the graduation benchmark on level-based exam grids for four-year courses.
• Late assignment submissions are again flagged as such on the Assignments page of student profiles. An unintended consequence of a recent change was that they were only flagged as late until the student submitted.

We released Tabula 2020.6.8 on Sunday 28^th June 2020. In this version:

• You are now able to confirm module marks for a subset of students on a module. For each student, you have three choices on the 'Confirm module marks' page in Marks Management:
  • Confirmed
  • Unconfirmed (Ongoing academic conduct investigation)
  • Unconfirmed (Deadline extended beyond BoE meeting)
• For mitigating circumstances submissions where the recommendation to the board of examiners is 'Other', the accompanying text is now included in exam grids.
• We fixed a bug that caused some marks uploaded to SITS via Coursework Management to show in Marks Management as not uploaded to SITS.
• For the 'Calculate module marks' page in Marks Management:
  • We improved the performance of the page.
  • Where a module mark that differs from the calculated mark has been recorded, if you return to the page the calculated mark no longer appears in place of the recorded mark. In the mark history popup for such a mark, the 'Operation' column shows "Record module marks" rather than "Calculate module marks".
  • When you change confirmed module marks, you are now told which departments will be notified.

We released Tabula 2020.6.7 on Wednesday 24^th June 2020. In this version:

• When their students are affected, departments are now notified of changes to confirmed marks for modules in other departments. Email notifications are sent to Departmental Administrators in affected departments.
• We fixed a bug affecting marks uploaded to SITS via Coursework Management. These marks were appearing in the Marks Management component as 'out of sync'.
