We’ll set it up and a can give you a demonstration of the device’s capabilities, in addition to full training.
You even can pick a specific time slot that meets your requirements, providing you give us two days’ advance notice.
We are also happy to take away any old printers with us at the time of installation, or you can dispose of them via the IT Equipment Disposal Service. IT Equipment Disposal Service
What don't I get?
We do not maintain any stocks of additional paper trays nor can we provide any spare cartridges. All consumables need to be purchased separately by you from XMA and will not be provided by IT Services.
This is not the Managed Print Service. Your ready-to-go printer is still non-managed.
You will not get automated consumable supplies. There are no meter readings included. Nor will your printer be covered by the onsite engineer service when the remainder of the 12-month manufacturer’s warranty (see below) runs out. It’s just a networked printer which you will need to look after.
If you like the sound of the Managed Print Service better, or if you want to know more about it, just ask managedprint at warwick dot ac dot uk.
How to order
To buy a ready-to-go-printer just e-mail printerpurchase at warwick dot ac dot uk with a valid costcode and specify the model you wish to purchase, the quantity, and your preferred date and time of installation. Please note that you will need to make sure a spare mains socket and network outlet are available in order for us to set the printer up.
The ready-to-go printer service is suitable for small orders since it relies on us keeping a stock of devices on campus. Typically we will have up to 5 of each of these machines in stock and available for deployment. If you need to order more than we have in stock, please use the standard ordering process instead.
Support after installation
Your ready-to-go printer will come with the balance of a 1 year warranty which runs from the date when IT Services initially purchased it. You can purchase additional warranty cover through XMA.
• Consumables need to be purchased separately by you from Banner
• Contact XMA to make a warranty claim if you suspect the printer has a hardware failure
• For any other queries (drivers, print queue, SafeCom) contact IT Services
