Aurora 2024-25 Application Process

LMD are now welcoming applications for the 2024-25 cohort.

Prior to applying for a place on the programme, you will need to discuss and gain agreement from your manager. You may wish to review the course dates, delivery methods and programme content to ensure that the programme is a suitable development opportunity for you and your learning preferences.

There are 40 places available at Warwick this year, and places will be allocated across departments, staff types, and grades (6-8) on a proportional basis to ensure a diverse and representative Aurora cohort and an effective participant experience. We will also take into account your intended learning outcomes and the extent to which these align to the programme's aims and objectives. In instances of particularly high numbers of applicants, HoDs may be asked to prioritise places allocated to their areas.

Please note that the cost of the programme is £1100 per person and must be paid your department as there is no central funding for this programme.

Application Process:

  1. Complete the Application FormLink opens in a new window including your manager's supporting statement.
  2. Send a copy of the completed form to LMD by Friday 06 September 2024 at 17:00.
  3. LMD will process applications and provisionally confirm places upon receipt of a costcode from successful applicants.
  4. LMD will notify Advance-HE of confirmed participants.
  5. Advance-HE will contact confirmed participants direct with joining instructions for the core Aurora programme.
  6. LMD will contact participants about the Warwick-specific elements.

Communication to participants:

  • On confirmation of your place, you will receive an email from Advance-HE.
  • Welcome packs and workbooks will be issued by Advance-HE.
  • Participants will be added to Advance-HE’s ‘Connect’ (online forum).
  • Joining instructions for the Advance-HE Development Days are issued one week before each Development Day.
  • You will also receive joining instructions and information on the Warwick-specific events from LMD.
