Unconscious Bias
This workshop is an introduction to the concept of Unconscious Bias and will look at how Unconscious Bias impacts on behaviour and decision making. We will also spend time looking at H.E. examples of Unconscious Bias and how to reduce Unconscious Bias.

Who should attend?
This workshop is open to any member of staff who would like to increase their knowledge and understanding of unconscious Bias.

Workshop Objectives:
By the end of the workshop you will have:
- Developed an improved understanding of Unconscious Bias
- Gained an understanding of the impact Unconscious Bias can have on behaviour and decision making
- Identified ideas of ways to reduce the impact of Unconscious Bias
- Consider the impact of Unconscious Bias on research and the higher education environment

Is there anything else I need to know? Pre-workshop work: Delegates are required to complete the Unconscious Bias Moodleand one of the Harvard Implicit Bias tests.
