Academic Writing Programme: Writing Collaboratively

This workshop explores how to manage collaborative writing projects, whether producing publications with an entire research team or simply writing an article with one other colleague. The session will focus on establishing the principles of good collaborative writing practice, with an emphasis on practical exercises and sharing best practice. The session will also discuss how to edit collaborative publications and how to establish a team's best approach for efficient writing. Finally, you will have the opportunity to create an action plan for any current or imminent collaborative writing projects.

Who is it for?

The workshop is open to all Research Active Staff and final year PhD students at Warwick University

Session Objectives:

By the end of the session you will have:

  • Discussed and identified the principles of good collaborative writing practice.
  • Experienced some of the different approaches to collaborative writing.
  • Understood your own strengths and challenges when writing collaboratively.
  • Written an action plan for any imminent collaborative projects.
