Brass
Tom completed his undergraduate and masters at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire under the tutelage of Ian Porthouse, Richard Marshall, Andy Stone-Fewings and Amos Miller, and has since been working as a brass tutor across the midlands from early access through to diploma. Throughout his career, Tom has performed as a soloist and in ensembles in many of the UK's prestigious venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, Symphony Hall, and the International Horn Conference run by Owen Farr, as well as performing across Europe, from Bratislavia's Radio Hall, and the European Union Parliament building. Tom is currently based in Warwickshire where he is focusing on instrumental tuition, chamber group coaching, and directing a variety of ensembles.
As a performer and director Tom is experienced in tutoring all brass, though specialising in upper-brass, as well as ensemble directing and playing.
