The Residential Community Team are currently taking applications for Residential Community Assistants for the 2025/2026 academic year
(job starting 17th September 2025, with mandatory training being held on campus on 18th and 19th September 2025).
Please note that by applying for this role that you will be required to live on campus, with accommodation being offered to all successful candidates.
Residential Community Assistants (RCAs):
We are looking for full time Undergraduate 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students and full/part time Postgraduate students who are interested in providing support to our on-campus resident students to become Residential Community Assistants (RCAs).
The RCAs will proactively contribute to the delivery of three key areas of student residential life - Community Wellbeing, Community Building, and Community Behaviours. Through the delivery of an inclusive and comprehensive programme of events, RCAs will help create a sense of community within the halls of residence that will support students with social integration and an appreciation of different cultures.
Living on campus, the RCAs will be an integral part of the on-campus student experience. You will work closely with other teams to ensure the wellbeing of our students remains paramount. In addition to providing out of hours support, the RCAs will support disciplinary processes and uphold the University Values in relation to behavioural expectations through peer-to-peer advice and coaching and the delivery of events and activities.

Please ensure you read the requirements for each role carefully; if you do not meet the criteria then your application will be discounted. You may apply for both roles, however you must read and meet the criteria.
