New coffee offer in Library Coffee Bar

Following a new partnership between Warwick Retail and Starbucks, Library Coffee Bar will be serving the Starbucks ‘We Proudly Serve’ range of drinks from Monday 17 February.

The international coffee brand is part of a new retail plan to create a vibrant campus that provides a wide variety of food and drink choices through a balanced mix of University-managed cafes and restaurants and popular high street brands.

Vicki Boyd, Head of Retail Service Operations, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Starbucks to bring their much loved coffee and frappuccino offer to campus. This is the latest exciting development in our new retail offer, based on customer research, which aims to offer a broader choice for students and staff to eat and drink”.

Library Coffee Bar will now be open 7 days a week, 10.30am – 7pm. Don’t forget Café Library is also open 7 days a week serving hot food Monday – Friday and open at the weekend with a coffee shop offer.

Come and visit Library Coffee Bar soon and let our friendly baristas serve your favourite Starbucks drink.

Important changes to newspaper and online ordering

As part of a wider CCSG sustainability strategy, Rootes Grocery Store is launching a new online ordering and delivery service in January 2020 which will be more efficient, cost effective and sustainable. This is what you can expect:

  • A new online form for food, drink and newspapers to replace email and phone orders. The online order form will enable us to fulfil orders more efficiently whilst helping to reduce congestion and pollution around campus. Deliveries will only be made between 10am – 12pm and 2 – 3pm. If there are any items you require that are not listed on the online form please visit Rootes Grocery Store.
  • There will be a £5.00 delivery charge for every online order. You will be asked to pay the delivery charge in advance (either with a costcode or a department charge card) which is non-refundable. This will enable us to deliver a more sustainable service reducing vehicles on campus during rush hour and peak times.

We’re confident the new service will continue to offer you an easy and convenient shopping experience. Rootes Grocery Store is open seven days a week if you would prefer to pop in and buy your food, drink or newspapers.
