Job shares: Information and Networking

The Part-Time Staff Network organised an information and networking event on Job Shares on Wednesday 5th October 2022, hosted by the Registrar, Rachel Sandby-Thomas.

The event provided colleagues with an opportunity to:

  • Engage with colleagues currently working in a job share: How did they go about applying? How does it work in practice? What are the benefits and challenges of this style of part-time working?
  • Engage with managers on their experiences of employing a job share partnership: What do managers see as the benefits and challenges of job share working?
  • Engage with HR: what are HR doing to enable and support job share working?

The productive discussion at the event has been summarised here, for colleagues who were unable to attend, or who would like to return to or reflect on the discussion.
