Disability
Did you know: 18% of the UK population are disabled, and approximately 80% of disabilities are hidden.
Under the Equality Act 2010, a person is disabled if they have “a physical or mental impairment [and] the impairment has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on [their] ability to carry out normal day to day activities” - this includes physical disabilities, hidden disabilities, neurodiversity, mental health problems, and a range of other long-term conditions.

Menopause
Did you know: More than three quarters of women experience menopause symptoms at some time and 40% of women said their menopause symptoms had been worse than they had expected.
Menopause is a natural part of ageing when an individual’s oestrogen levels decline and they stop having periods. In the UK, the average age to reach the menopause is 51, but around 1 in 100 people experience the menopause before 40 years of age.

LGBTQUIA+
Did you know: More than a third of LGBTQUIA+ people have hidden that their identity at work for fear of discrimination.
LGBTQUIA+ is an acronym used at Warwick to refer to the community of people who identify as Lesbian (L), Gay (G), Bi (B), Trans (T), Queer (Q), Undefined (U), Intersex (I), on the Asexual or Aromantic spectra (A), and/or another identity which experiences similar forms of prejudice and/or discrimination (+).
