Meet the Panel:

Sarah Fullwood – Donor Relations Officer | Development and Alumni Engagement

Pronouns: She/her

Sarah Fullwood joined the university as the new Donor Relations Officer within the Development and Alumni team on Monday 6th January, previously at Aston University. An experienced higher education professional with a strong background in widening participation and project management, Sarah will bring her extensive stakeholder relationship and working with students experience to lead on overseeing philanthropically funded scholarships and the Scholar Ambassador Programme.

Claire Boyes – Head of Portfolio (Research) | Information & Digital Group

Pronouns: She/her

With over 15 years' experience in the HE sector Claire has held leadership and managerial roles in Admissions teams at both the University of Warwick and Birmingham City University. Throughout her career, she has managed and cultivated large, dynamic teams and developed and disseminated institutional admissions procedure and policy to ensure efficient end-to end processes that support the recruitment of high quality, diverse candidates in line with university strategy.

Recently, Claire embarked on an exciting career transition into the Information and Digital Group, as the new Head of Portfolio (Research). In this role, she oversees the planning and delivery of digital products and projects within the research landscape. This position allows her to blend strategic oversight with innovative thinking, contributing to advancements in research management and administration. 

Olivia Worringham - Widening Participation Officer (Pathways)| Widening Participation and Social Mobility

Pronouns: She/her

Seven years ago, she began studying Psychology here at Warwick. During her degree she worked placements in Mental Health Hospitals across the Midlands and in Social Mobility at Warwick. Upon graduating, she began working in the Widening Participation team as a WP Coordinator and have since worked as a WP Assistant Officer and now WP Officer. She loves supporting prospective students, running events and is always on the lookout for other things to get involved in. In her spare time, she volunteers for a local charity, Survivor Sanctuary and is proud to be working with Report and Support to bring sessions onto campus for our community.

Simran Panesar – Volunteers Officer (UK and Europe) | Development and Alumni Engagement

Pronouns: She/her

Simran was appointed Volunteers Officer within the Development and Alumni Engagement team in October 2024. Simran has experience in stakeholder engagement and higher education. After a legal career specialising in conveyancing and family law, Simran took time out to focus on raising her two children. In January 2021 she then transitioned into higher education and joined Warwick University as an Education Services Assistant in Life Sciences. Having developed skills within this role, she was offered a position as Senior Education Services Assistant within the department. Simran completed the Springboard programme in September 2023 and in January 2024 was appointed Global Alumni Engagement Officer at Warwick Business School, where she planned and delivered alumni engagement activities at the Shard, built relationships with key stakeholders, and supported professional networks.

Simran will draw on her experience of joining the University in a part time, administrative role and how professional development, work life balance and flexibility have been at the forefront of her decisions to transition into different roles and develop from part-time to full-time hours.
