Living on campus

For first year, a lot of students choose to live in on campus accommodation which is managed by Warwick Accommodation. If this includes you, you'll benefit from the wealth of support through our Residential Community Team (RCT). The team of Residential Community Assistants (RCAs) are current Warwick students who offer peer support and run community building events. Look out for the RCAs in your residence and in the Residences' Hubs - they'll be wearing pink t-shirts/hoodies and will be happy to chat.

After your first year

In later years, students have the option to book a room on campus which is usually in high demand and offered on a first-come first-served basis, subject to availability. Our advice is to keep an eye on your emails and the Warwick Accommodation website for updates and announcements on when returning student room bookings open.

Most returning students do move off campus after their first year and tend to live in Leamington Spa or Coventry, the University has a really detailed website to help you with the transition to second year, including guidance on finding somewhere to live. This really helpful resource can help you through choosing what sort of accommodation to live in, picking your housemates, your tenancy rights, being a good neighbour and more.

Remember that finding the right housemates might take some time so don't rush if you’re living off campus. You don't have to find your home for second year in the first term and there are plenty of houses available all year round, so don't feel rushed to commit straight away. Of course – if you’d like to live on campus in your second year or beyond, you’ll need to try and book early to avoid disappointment. The SU in conjunction with Warwick Accommodation will be offering a Housing Day on Wed 19 November 2025 to help you find out more about the process, so keep an eye out for more information.
