Christmas Tree Lights Switch On

As the Christmassy season really kicks off and the piazza gets dark, join us to celebrate switching on of the Christmas Tree Lights on our trees outside the NAIC building and on Benefactors Plaza.

On the night we will have entertainment from the Brass Society, and our choir performing festive tunes, food and drink vans and outlets with Christmas treats on offer, photo opportunities with our two actual real life (but still magical) reindeer, Christmas music and our #WarwickChristmasStars messages on the big screen and real life AND magical Rolf the Campus Cat helping with the big moment!

BE A BIG SCREEN CHRISTMAS STAR

It’s not just the fairy lights that will be twinkling at our Christmas Light Switch-On event, we hope you will be shining too. We’re looking for festive stars to grace the Big Screen with their Christmas video or text messages.

So give the gift of a cheery message, and help our students and staff feel happier than an elf in a toyshop.

To submit your video message, just follow these three simple steps.

1. Record a 5-10 second Christmas message on a webcam or phone, in landscape mode

2. Watch it back to make sure that the sound and picture quality are OK

3. Send it by email or WeTransfer to warwickpresents@warwick.ac.uk

If you’re feeling creative, you can also share your best festive reels and TikTok videos on Instagram, and we'll show some of our favourites on the Big Screen at the event. Perhaps you want to show off the Christmas decorations in your room, hall of residence or department. Or maybe your pet is getting into the Christmas spirit.
