The University of Warwick is situated within the city of Coventry. A vibrant, multicultural and diverse place which was the UK's City of Culture in 2021. Only a bus ride away, it is worth exploring the city centre and all it has to offer.

How to reach Coventry

  • By Car: A 20-minute drive from main campus along the A45 and Kenilworth Road. There are a few multi-storey car parks in the city centre to park.
  • By Public Transport: Take the number 12X or 11 from the bus interchange to Coventry.
  • By Bike: A 20-25 minute bike ride from main campus along the A45 and Kenilworth Road.

The Coventry Cathedral ruins are a beautiful 20th Century building that was bombed during the Second World War. Next to it is the more modern Cathedral, which holds services, events and guided tours. Why not appreciate the 'casket of jewels' by booking a tour in advance?

This is the home to the world's largest collection of British road transport in public ownership.

You'll wander 19th Century streets and discover the first bicycles, carriages and cars and the wartime destruction in the Blitz Experience.

The museum showcases the collections, from fine paintings to historical and archaeological artefacts and natural history specimens.

It’s known to welcome families. Because of this it was named as the Best Family Friendly Museum in the prestigious Guardian Family Friendly Museum award in 2010.

Leamington Spa

Royal Leamington Spa is a picturesque regency town located in the heart of Warwickshire and is less than 10 miles from campus. Named after the River Leam, which flows through the town, Leamington Spa’s growth was largely due to the natural spa springs that were discovered and commercialised in the 19th century.
