My main research interests concern:

  • the activity of Gramsci and the Ordine Nuovo group during the Italian Red Biennium (1919-1920)
  • the connections between the proletkultist experiences in Europe and Russia during the 1920s, with a particular emphasis of the Proletcult Institute in Turin
  • the Postcolonial reception of Gramsci’s “Prison Notebooks”
  • Postcolonial theory (in particular, Gayatri Spivak’s works)
  • the debates around the creation ofGlobal Sociologies
  • the 'subaltern question'
  • the intersections between Sociology and Literature
