- the activity of Gramsci and the Ordine Nuovo group during the Italian Red Biennium (1919-1920)
- the connections between the proletkultist experiences in Europe and Russia during the 1920s, with a particular emphasis of the Proletcult Institute in Turin
- the Postcolonial reception of Gramsci’s “Prison Notebooks”
- Postcolonial theory (in particular, Gayatri Spivak’s works)
- the debates around the creation ofGlobal Sociologies
- the 'subaltern question'
- the intersections between Sociology and Literature
