About me

I am a PhD student at the CDT Urban Science & Progress, based at the Warwick Institute for the Science of Cities under the supervision of Professor Rob Procter. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Sciences from the University of East Anglia (UEA) and an MSc in Human Geography: Society and Space (Distinction) from the University of Bristol. Prior to joining Warwick, I worked for both the University of Bristol and Local Government (within the Energy Conservation and Initiatives Office) supporting processes of urban governance and urban regeneration and planning.

Research

My current research investigates the use of collaboratively-produced information to advise and support decision making, specifically to help governments identify and prioritise context-specific policy. I am particularly interested in whether the data collated can itself be used to determine or predict future public policy.

More broadly, I am interested in the relationship between this collaboratively-produced information and other official data sources when data is categorised, or not categorised, as city-scale and the resulting systematising networks which can give a provisional ‘ordering’ to urban life.
