Warwick International Foundation Programme | Interviews

Interviews

During the admissions process, you might be asked to take part in an interview - typically, these will take place online via Microsoft Teams. You will be asked to book a time and date for your interview that are suitable for you. You should make sure that you have sufficient time for the interview, are in a quiet place and have good internet connection.

At the start of your interview we will be required to do a quick identity check for data security purposes, and we require you to submit a copy of your passport data page prior to the interview taking place. You will be requested to submit your passport once your booking has been confirmed. If we do not receive a copy of your passport data page before the interview takes place, we will be required to reschedule for another time. As we only require the passport for ID purposes, at this point in the admissions process, the passport does not have to be valid for travel.

Admissions Interview

The interview will be an informal discussion between you and a member of our admissions team. The interview will provide an opportunity for us to ask you some questions about your personal statement, your academic background and your motivation for applying for the course. You will also have time to ask us any questions you might have about the course or the university more generally.

You are strongly encouraged to review the course details on our websiteLink opens in a new window before your interview.

Academic Interview

In our academic interviews, the discussion will be between you, a member of our academic team, and a member of our admissions team.

In addition to the questions outlined in the admissions interview, in an academic interview, the academic member of staff will also ask you some questions to confirm your current level of mathematics. You do not need to prepare anything in advance for this but please have a pen and paper ready as you will be asked to write down some notes and show this through your webcam.
