I’m going to study in Warwick. Although I’ve met the admission requirements of English, I still worry about my English especially in academic writing and grammar. Are there any English courses for international students? Yes, the University has what we call an 'In-sessional' English Programme for our international students to continue improving their English language ability during their degree course study. The courses are free for students. Usually, if your department feel that your English needs improving, they will recommend you to take the in-sessional course (this decision will be made in the first few weeks of your time at Warwick). If your department is confident in your language ability but you still feel that you would like to take the course then this is possible as long as places remain on the course (preference being given to the students whose departments say they need to take the course). The course is run by the University's Foundation Studies and you can find more details here. Also check out the student societies available, as they are a great way of improving your English language. Answered by the Student Recruitment Team Answer published: Oct 2023.
