How did you find out about Warwick?

When I was preparing to apply for university in the second year of senior high school, I heared about Warwick University from my teachers and seniors. All the students who have studied in Warwick or are applying said that Warwick is a very worthy university to apply for.I have collected the rankings and environment of Warwick University from the Internet over the years, and I know that students' satisfaction level is very high and the environment is good.

Did you consider studying anywhere else? What made you choose Warwick?

Because the geographical location of Warwick is not very downtown, and I feel the epidemic prevention and control is relatively good, and the air quality is quite good. Warwick University is ranked very high in the UK, so I think there is some truth to this, not only in terms of student satisfaction, but also in terms of the teaching quality of the teachers in the school.

How did you feel to be awarded a scholarship?

I feel very honored to win the scholarship, which shows that my strength and efforts have been recognized by the university. I believe that I will work harder in university and make full use of the financial help brought by the scholarship to make my daily life in Warwick more pleasant. At the same time, I was also a little nervous, afraid that I could not compare with the same excellent students when I got this honor.

Who was the first person you told when you received the news about your scholarship and how did they react?

Clearly, I received this email message at 9:00 p.m. one day in China. At that moment, I was very excited. I immediately went to tell my mother who was getting ready for bed and hugged each other. She also felt very honored and proud, but still asked me to wait for the final result notification, and admonished me against arrogance, there is a long way for me to go. Finally, she told me to thank all of my teachers who helped me a lot to reveive this scholarship.

How did you apply and did anyone help you with your application form and visa application?

At first I was first to investigate the Warwick university scholarship, then my teacher told me that the application of the process, step by step and then I will answer the question, but I cry, my English level is not very good, so I asked my English teacher help me to modify the grammatical errors, and after a few days my brainstorming, answer the five questions. Most importantly, I had to meet several conditions listed by the school to apply for this scholarship. There was also academic pressure, because there was no examination and no result at that time, which just became my motivation to work hard.

What was your first impression of Warwick when you first walked around campus?

It was the first time for me to go abroad, so I was a little nervous and had some fantasies about the school. I was expecting what the campus environment would be like, but I was very satisfied with it. The architectural design of the campus and the planting of trees were very beautiful and distinctive. In autumn and winter this season, with cool wind, there will be golden leaves falling from the trees, very artistic conception.

What is the best thing about Warwick?

In my opinion, the best thing in Warwick is that I have met many excellent and cheerful friends through this platform. They come from different countries but can well integrate different cultures and help each other solve problems in the same place. Happy and unhappy things can also be shared with everyone. In addition, the experience of studying abroad for the first time made me feel more relaxed and full of expectations for my future life.

What is the worst thing?

I don't think there's anything bad so far, maybe the only thing that's not so good is that the big supermarket is a bit far away and it's a bit heavy for a girl to carry things back. But I don't exercise very much either, so I think of this as exercise so I'm not too tired.

How is your accommodation?

I think my dormitory is perfect, the environment is very good and warm. After visiting several other dormitories, I found that the kitchen assigned to my dormitory was very large and generally quiet. Students could get a satisfactory dormitory according to the dormitory application form.

Are you a member of any societies?

I joined a club called CDS through an interview. All of the member is coming from China. The main purpose of this club is to provide information and answer professional questions for students who are about to graduate or need job hunting.

What are your plans when you graduate?

Because I major in chemistry, I plan to apply for graduate school after graduation, which will help me better understand the knowledge of this major and facilitate my future job hunting.

What would you say to someone considering applying for an Undergraduate Global Excellence scholarship at Warwick, what would it be?

For students who want to apply for scholarships, I hope you should study hard in high school, take every subject seriously, and try not to give up, because you will find them all useful. Then you will get excellent results in the final big exam, because in this way, you will be qualified to compete with the same excellent people. At the same time, you should also let the school feel your sincerity and love for the school during the application process. Fighting!

What one thing makes you happy about Warwick?

I like experiments very much, because there are not many opportunities to experiment in high school, so in the process of studying at Warwick University, I have more opportunities to stay in the laboratory. Even if I am a little tired after staying for a day, I am still very satisfied.
