How did you find out about Warwick?

While researching UK universities and their rankings, I discovered the University of Warwick. What stood out to me was its comprehensive curriculum, alongside a range of attributes that contribute to a quality educational experience. These include esteemed academic staff, well-known departments such as WMG, strong industry connections, excellent facilities, a student-focused university life, and a variety of housing options. Overall, the University of Warwick appears to offer everything a student needs for both academic success and a fulfilling student life.

Did you contact the university prior to application?

I applied to Warwick without prior contact, relying solely on the information provided on their website, which I found to be very informative. I want to highlight the exceptional support from the staff and the smoothness of the enrollment process. My thanks go out to them for making this experience so positive.

How was your arrival?

My arrival at Warwick was an incredible experience, leaving me thoroughly impressed. I am genuinely proud to be a student at Warwick.

Did you consider applying anywhere else? What made you choose Warwick?

Like many of my friends, relatives, and siblings, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Georgia and even began my Master's studies there. However, studying abroad, especially in a country like the UK, is a privilege that not everyone can access. A few years ago, I applied for a Master's program at Caucasus University, one of Georgia's top universities. Despite its reputation, I realized I was seeking the high standard of education offered in the UK, leading me to decide firmly on pursuing my studies there, particularly at Warwick.

What are the main reasons you chose Warwick?

I received unconditional offers from several UK universities, including some that are highly popular and rank in the top 10. While I was tempted by the idea of living in London, as I enjoy big city life, my decision to choose Warwick was firm. This was my third application to Warwick because studying here has always been my dream, given its outstanding qualities. This year, I was fortunate to receive the Chevening Scholarship, with Warwick as my top choice, and a fully funded two-year scholarship from the Swedish Institute for a Master's program at Stockholm University. Despite these options, my long-standing desire to study at Warwick made the decision clear for me.

Did you receive any help with your application form and visa application, or any funding?

I received a Chevening Scholarship. Within the partnership scheme with Chevening Scholarship and Warwick, Warwick contributed to my tuition fee by 20%.

What makes you happiest about being a student at Warwick?

I'm truly happy to be a student at Warwick, as it represents a commitment to competency, high-quality education, and exceptional experiences. The university is known for its respected academic staff, practical learning opportunities, and strong industry connections. Being associated with Warwick is like a brand to my CV.

What was the best thing about your experience of student life at Warwick?

EVERYTHING!

What is the accommodation like?

I reside off-campus in Coventry, which I find quite suitable despite my usual preference for larger cities. The affordability and proximity to the university make it a convenient and satisfying choice for me.

What do you hope to achieve when you graduate?

After my studies, I look forward to returning to my country, where I aim to further my successful career at the Ministry of Defence of Georgia, bringing new insights and enhanced skills to contribute positively to my workplace.

What advice would you give to anyone considering studying at Warwick?

My advice is to make the most of every opportunity the university offers. The year will pass quickly, and there's a lot to experience alongside your studies, so it's important to use your time wisely.
