How did you find out about Warwick?
Initially through my previous school's Career Counsellor and own research.
Did you consider studying anywhere else? What made you choose Warwick?
Despite being a relatively young university in comparison to others, the University of Warwick enjoys a strong academic reputation around the world. It is not only one of the best universities in the UK, but it is also one of the best institutions in the world, with students traveling from all over the world to study here.
How did you feel to be awarded a scholarship?
Personally, I am not known for being very emotional, but when I received a packet in the mail informing me of my scholarship, I was overjoyed for the first time in a long time. My family hugged me, and I could tell that my older brother was really happy. My family was immensely proud of me and never stopped praising me (which I gladly accepted because it felt great having this incredible support). My teachers offered me affection, and my school's staff praised me. It gave me a burst of confidence and lifted my spirits.
Who was the first person you told when you received the news about your scholarship and how did they react?
I was with my family when I received my scholarship email. Naturally, they were the first ones to know. They were really happy and proud of me.
How did you apply and did anyone help you with your application form and visa application?
Through the Warwick website, I was able to easily access the scholarship section. Through which I came across the Global Excellence scholarship. The visa process takes a bit of time to complete I was assisted by a visa agency.
What was your first impression of Warwick when you first walked around campus?
The first time I came to the Warwick campus I was awestruck by how big the campus was. I really fell in love with the campus right then and there.
What is the best thing about Warwick?
The community of Warwick is very diverse. It provides me with the ability to interact with people from varying backgrounds. This is something I really like about Warwick.
Are you a member of any societies? If so, what have you done with them?
No not at the moment.
