I first learned about the University of Warwick while researching top UK universities known for their strong academic programs and international reputation. Additionally, a former teacher, who is an alumnus of Warwick, shared their positive experiences and recommended the university for its vibrant campus life and supportive academic environment. This combination of research and personal recommendation made Warwick stand out as a place where I could thrive both academically and personally.

Where else did you consider studying?/ Where did your friends or siblings go?

My other considerations were: Imperial, UCL, Uni of Manchester and Edinburgh.

I chose the University of Warwick over other UK and global universities for several reasons:

I contacted the admissions department and the Warwick Business School. My primary interest was in understanding the course structure, faculty expertise, and available resources for students. My arrival at the University of Warwick was an incredibly positive experience, setting the tone for an exciting start to my university journey. The orientation week was well-organized and welcoming, making it easy to settle in and start feeling at home right away.

What is the worst thing about Warwick?

One of the challenges at the University of Warwick is its **location**. While the campus itself is beautiful and self-contained, it is situated outside major urban areas, which can feel somewhat isolated at times. The nearest large city, Coventry, is about 20 minutes away, and while it has its own attractions, it may not offer the same level of cultural and social activities as cities like London or Manchester. For students who thrive in a bustling city environment, this rural setting might feel limiting, particularly in terms of nightlife and off-campus entertainment options. However, the university does offer frequent transportation links and a vibrant campus life to help mitigate this.

What are your impressions of your accommodation? Is this on campus/off campus?

All through I lived in one of the best on campus accommodations - lakeside hall of residence, this made me feel at home while I was away from my home.

Did you undertake any internships or study abroad opportunities? Please include examples of Spring/Summer internships and the name of the firm/organisation or the country where you studied abroad.

Yes I did undertake a part time role with Warwick Conferences on campus as a Conference Assistant, and this made me realise how much of a value we create and how this experience for me was a life changing one. As part of my program we also had a core module of a study abroad one week program where I went to HEC Paris and experienced so much to carry forward with me.

Are you a member of any societies? If so, what have you done with them?

I have been the Career Officer with Warwick International Relations Society & have been part of Warwick Salsa Society as the Beginners Performance Team.

What do you hope to do when you graduate?

Upon graduating, I hope to leverage the skills and knowledge gained at Warwick to embark on a successful career in Management Consulting. My goal is to work with innovative organizations that align with my passion for Consulting, where I can contribute to meaningful projects and drive positive change. Additionally, I aim to continue learning and growing professionally, potentially pursuing further studies or certifications to deepen my expertise. Ultimately, I aspire to make a lasting impact in my field, using my Warwick education as a strong foundation for my future endeavours.

If you were giving advice to a student considering study at Warwick, what advice would you give them?

If you're considering studying at Warwick, my advice is to embrace the diverse opportunities the university offers. Take advantage of the vibrant campus life—join societies, attend events, and network with people from different backgrounds. Academically, don't hesitate to seek support from faculty and use the university's resources, like the library and career services. Be open to exploring subjects outside your main field of study, as Warwick encourages interdisciplinary learning. Lastly, while the campus is a bit isolated, make the most of the community and the strong connections you'll build, which can be just as rewarding as the academic experience.
