How did you find out about Warwick?
I heard about Warwick through students who have previously studied at this reputed institution.
Did you consider studying anywhere else? What made you choose Warwick?
Warwick is known for its modern outlook and a robust culmination of academics and overall development. It's strong employment network made me choose Warwick over other universities.
How did you feel to be awarded a scholarship?
It was a surreal feeling to be awarded a scholarship. It is extremely vital in helping me achieve my goals.
Who was the first person you told when you received the news about your scholarship and how did they react?
My father was the first person I told about the scholarship. It was a humbling moment seeing him so proud of me and my achievement.
How did you apply and did anyone help you with your application form and visa application?
I am proud to say that I did everything from the first application to the visa application by myself. It truly taught me a lot. The independence I gained from this experience is something I shall keep with myself lifelong.
What was your first impression of Warwick when you first walked around campus?
It felt like a dream come true to be walking around campus. The piazza feels like a meeting point of different worlds coming together. Walking around Warwick never gets old.
What is the best thing about Warwick?
The network that Warwick helps one build is unbeatable. It enables one to constantly look out for opportunities throughout one's life.
What is the worst thing about Warwick?
I do not think there's anything about Warwick that I detest. An institution that constantly aims to better itself is something I am grateful for.
How is your accommodation?
My on campus accommodation is Sherbourne. While it is infamous for the long walk to central campus, it is a great place to live in. It showcases great diversity, which has always been important for me.
Are you a member of any societies?
I am on the sub-committee for Warwick India Society. I have worked with their marketing department to put on different events and create a safe space for Indian students. I am also a part of the Warwick Law Society and Warwick PLAN which focusses on the lives of members of the LGBTQ+ community.
What are your plans when you graduate?
I hope to create a continuously evolving career path with a solid network in Law for myself when I graduate.
What would you say to someone considering applying for an Undergraduate Global Excellence scholarship at Warwick, what would it be?
Be you. Show Warwick why you deserve the scholarship, because in the process you will teach yourself some important life lessons.
What one thing makes you happy about Warwick?
Being a part of a strong-knitted community and the fantastic curriculum makes me happy to be a part of Warwick.
