How did you hear about Warwick?
I had first heard about Warwick in my High School! As I progressed through my undergraduate studies and began seriously considering pursuing further education in the UK, I knew Warwick would definitely be one of the top choices!
Why did you choose Warwick over other UK universities and other universities in the world?
Firstly, for being very well-ranked in the UK, and secondly because living expenses as a student in Coventry would be lesser than in London! Also, I was very interested by the Program Structure that WBS was offering for an MSc in International Business!
Was your arrival and orientation okay? What were your first impressions/highlights?
Reflecting back upon them, those were wonderful times! Warwick Student Union is very engaging and they make you feel at home during the Pre Arrival! During the Orientation, I got a very warm and enthusiastic welcome from the PGT! I had the opportunity to meet with faculty members and current students during the orientation sessions. These interactions gave me valuable insights into the program’s structure even more and the vibrant academic community here. I was also impressed by the modern facilities and the collaborative atmosphere that encourages engagement and interaction among students.
What is the best thing about Warwick?
Warwick has provided me with a holistic experience! The lush, green, and serene campus provides a perfect backdrop for both academic pursuits and a calm mind. I can truly say Warwick has allowed me to discover myself because of my peers and the environment here, and it truly feels rewarding! I've had the privilege of being taught by some of the most amazing professors, whose passion and expertise truly enrich the learning experience. The support I've received, whether from administrative staff at Senate House or from my peers, has been worthwhile!
My IB classes were engaging, and the inclusive, respectful environment has fostered some very meaningful discussions and collaboration. I have spent some very precious times at the Oculus and Warwick Arts Centre - either by finding a peaceful spot to study or unwinding with friends after a stressful day, these spaces have made Warwick feel like a home away from home.
What is the worst thing about Warwick?
Since many Career Events happen in London/Birmingham, it can sometimes get relatively difficult to travel!
What are your impressions of your accommodation? Is this on campus/off campus?
Staying at Tocil, right on campus, has been a wonderful experience. My room is spacious, offering a comfortable living space, and the overall accommodation is truly special. One of the things I love most is being surrounded by greenery—there's a sense of calm and tranquility that comes with living here. It’s a special feeling to open my window and let the sunlight pour in, especially on the days when the sun graces us. My flatmates have been warm and welcoming, and I've enjoyed hearing their stories, whether they're from Leeds, Edinburgh, or from the southern parts of India. This sense of community, combined with the peaceful environment, makes Tocil a truly lovely place to call home.
Did you undertake any internships or study abroad opportunities? Please include examples of Spring/Summer internships and the name of the firm/organisation or the country where you studied abroad.
I attended the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations as a Delegate, while my time at Warwick! I had gotten to know about the opportunity as some WBS Alumni had done it, previously!
What do you hope to do when you graduate?
I am eager to explore opportunities in Research, particularly in the areas of Global Business Dynamics and International Affairs. I am also open to pursuing any other role that resonates with my values and interests. My goal is to contribute meaningfully while continuously expanding my knowledge and skills, staying curious, and remaining true to my commitment to personal and professional growth.
If you were giving advice to a student considering study at Warwick, what advice would you give them?
To keep an open mind, be enthusiastic to learn in your discipline, always be empathetic and to take any challenge that comes in your way in a resilient manner that will only prove to be rewarding later!
