As part of the work for this accreditation, we:

· Supported a student project investigating the suitability of campus as habitat for hedgehogs, by using footprint tunnels (to search for hedgehog footprints= and pitfall traps (to investigate the abundance of food that hedgehogs have available).

· Ran a hedgehog survey with Friends of the War Memorial Park, Coventry, finding hedgehog prints!

· Put up ‘Slow down, hedgehog area’ signs on campus to encourage drivers to be mindful of their speed, to reduce the risk to wildlife

· Encouraged 25 people to become Hedgehog Champions with Hedgehog Street

· Created a campaign video, which you can watch here.

Going forward, we will continue to enhance campus for wildlife, including planting hedgerows, creating bug hotels and supporting other habitat creation initiatives.
