Hedgehog Friendly Campus Video
Hedgehogs are vulnerable to extinction in Britain, due to a number of factors including habitat loss, development, roads and garden hazards. There are now thought to be fewer than one million hedgehogs left in the wild.
Hedgehog Friendly CampusLink opens in a new window provides a framework that supports universities, colleges, students' unions and primary schools to create positive change for hedgehogs and other wildlife on their campus and enables staff and students to recognise their own impacts on nature.
The University of Warwick achieved Bronze Accreditation in 2022 and one year later achieving Silver Accreditation meant a great deal to our community as it reflects our growing commitment to enhancing campus for wildlife.
