Environmental Sustainability at Warwick

Earlier this month, the School for Cross-Faculty Studies and Estates invited all Warwick staff and students to attend a series of presentations given by a range of Professional Services staff contributing to environmental sustainability projects across campus.

This event aimed to inform Warwick staff and students about the various environmental sustainability projects happening across campus - all the PowerPoint slideshows are accessible to Warwick staff and students hereLink opens in a new window. The presentations unpacked:

The Way to Sustainable - Warwick’s Sustainability Strategy - Parvez Islam (Director of Environmental Sustainability) and Gemma Wilkins (Head of Sustainable Campus Operations)

Ecology and Biodiversity on campus - Kelly Baker (University Grounds and Gardens Manager) and Katherine Mayfield (Sustainability Champion - Ecology and Biodiversity)

Decarbonising Warwick - Andrew Thomas (Senior Energy and Carbon Manager) and Gez Hunter (Head of Buildings and Infrastructure)

Our transition to Sustainable Transport - George Saxon (Head of Transport Systems and Operations)

A new Food and Drink strategy - Matt Drew (Director of Food and Beverage)

Closing remarks were then provided Prof. Emma Flynn (Provost) and Prof. Stephanie Panichelli-Batalla (Head of the School for Cross-Faculty Studies)
