Warwick's Estates team comes to the rescue in Canley

Estates colleagues in Canley with the noticeboard they fixed

This article was written by Diane Tolley who lives in Canley and is chair of the neighbourhood stakeholders group.

The Estates team at the University of Warwick has stepped in to help repair a Community Noticeboard on Charter Avenue, Canley. The locks on the noticeboard doors had become stiff and hard to turn, and the cork upon which the notices were pinned to had been damaged by water and were cracked.

Sam Hicks and Steve Rowton from Estates oiled the locks and replaced the old cork backing with new colourful boards that they use at the University. Without their help the noticeboard may have become unusable.

Thank you so much for this help. The local noticeboards are important for Canley residents and visitors to know what is going on locally.
