Warwick partnered with Warwick Arts Centre to plan, devise and deliver an ambitious and innovative 2 day public event – The Festival of the Imagination as the flagship event for our 50th anniversary celebrations. From fabulous talks, demos and debates to fantastic food and drink the weekend truly offered something for everyone.
Ian Rowley, Director of Development and External Affairs, says:
We are thrilled that the Festival of the Imagination has been shortlisted for the Cultural award, in conjunction with the Arts Centre. The festival was the centrepiece of our many 50th anniversary celebrations in 2015. It showcased the work we do at Warwick through a diverse programme of talks, debates, performances and demonstrations; all focused around the central theme of 'Imagining the Future'. Ten thousand people attended the two day festival, many of whom had not visited the University campus before. We felt that the event was a huge success and one that not only inspired and entertained but also fostered a feeling of community pride from staff, students, alumni and visitors alike."
