I’m Holly, a Physics with Astrophysics student. I decided to choose genetics as one of my final year modules as I wanted to experience a completely different style of teaching and assessment, as well as learn more about social issues alongside educated people that each brought something new.
About the Project
My piece was a digital artwork called ‘Sacred Strands’.
I aimed to address whether reproductive genetic technologies are beneficial or harmful, focusing on how they impact the disabled community. I wanted to encourage dialogue around how far is too far with the implications of removing certain disabilities from future generations.
