Guidance on reflection

Your reflective response to your own work is an essential part of your competition entry.

You can write your reflective account as text (300 words), or record it as video or audio (3 minutes).

  • Describe: what you did to create your production, for example: what prompted you to created it; what tools and techniques you used; how you designed and planned it; your creative techniques; how and why it changed as you worked on it.

  • Analyse: how the features of your production met your own goals for creating it, how doing this will be of use to you in the future, and how it relates to the theme.

  • Critically evaluate: your own production, how you might do it differently in the future, considering what you have learned through doing it.

Read more about how and why to reflect on your work. Contact Robert O'Toole if you want help with this.

Guidelines

Please confirm that you have read the submission guidelines and that your digital artefact complies with the terms set out. If you have not read the guidelines please do so now.

Guidelines (required)

Your consent

You must complete this consent form before we can showcase your work. Submissions received without a consent form will not appear in the Showcase.

Third party consent

Please note that if persons other than yourself (friends, family members, other Warwick students) are featured in your digital artefact we will need their consent before we can host it on our website.

Please ensure that a copy of this consent form has been completed by each person featured in your piece.

If minors are featured in your artefact we will need their parents’ permission as well. In this circumstance it is necessary for the organisers to solicit consent directly so contact Robert and Rebecca to let them know.

Please upload your submission and consent forms here. Please note that this form only supports certain file types, and you can only upload up to four documents here.

If you are able to submit your file type here, please do so alongside your own consent form, saved as a PDF file, and up to two further third party consent forms, also saved as individual PDF files. Please do not consolidate consent forms into a single document. Any further third party consent forms should be immediately emailed to Robert O'Toole. Please note your artefact cannot be showcased until all consent forms have been received.

If it is not possible for you to upload your file type here then please complete the form as normal and upload your own consent form, and up to three third party consent forms (all consent forms should be saved as individual PDF files,. Please do not consolidate into one single document) and submit by the Showcase deadline (12th June 2023).  Once you have done this, please email Dr Robert O'Toole (R.O-Toole@warwick.ac.uk) with any remaining third party consent forms and details of your outstanding submission. He will then support you in submitting it through alternative channels.
