The Joy of Sex Education
Thursday 26th November, 2009
S0.13 (Social Studies)
5pm
Dr Katherine Angel introduces this short, evening screening of a selection of awkwardly euphemistic and shockingly explicit sex education videos from the 1910s - 1970s.
"All 'unmentionable matters' pertaining to sex are dealt with, from the WW1 warning to soldiers about the dangers of cavorting with loose women in London's West End, 'Whatsoever a Man Soweth' (1917), to puberty pep-talks for girls on how to avoid pregnancy in 'Don't be Like Brenda' (1973)."
* Please note that these videos are rated '18' and may contain nudity and scenes of a sexual nature.
