The Strategic Award Postdoctoral Fellowship offers early career researchers in the History of Medicine the opportunity to link their research interest to a public engagement project.

The Fellowship will be held at the CHM and you will be provided with:

  • A set budget to host a public engagement event during the tenure of the Fellowship (NB. Please be advised that although money has been set aside for the public engagement project, you may also be asked to apply for external funding, where time allows)
  • an expense allowance for travel & subsistence, conference attendance and other items as approved by the Centre Director
  • A shared office
  • Access to library facilities

You will be based at the University during your period of tenure and must be resident within a reasonable distance of the campus. Request for leave of absence from Warwick for research purposes related to the Public Engagement Project should be submitted with detailed information as part of the proposal.

You are also required to send the following documents (attached to one email clearly stating the post number and your name) to the Centre Administrator: T.Horton@warwick.ac.uk by the closing date:

§ a CV of no more than 2 pages in length

§ a proposal for a public engagement project, providing details of any scoping already done and including a timetable (not more than 3 pages)

§ a sample of written work (maximum 8000 words)

§ two academic references
